Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
Who exactly do you work with?
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I also offer extensive parent training through dedicated coaching sessions to support treatment efficacy.
Practical Details
What are your fees and do you take insurance?
I operate as an out-of-network provider. I can provide detailed monthly statements (superbills) for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Fees are discussed during our initial consultation.
Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?
I provide in-person office visits and secure telehealth options. Additionally, in-home sessions are available on a case-by-case basis when clinically appropriate. Meeting in your home can help some individuals feel more at ease while allowing me to better understand the home environment and daily routines.
Services & Approach
What specific issues can you help with?
I provide support for a range of challenges including anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioral problems, depression, OCD, chronic illness, and stress-related difficulties.Â
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
I utilize evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mind-body strategies, DBT, behavior therapy, and humanistic therapy. These approaches are scientifically supported and tailored to the developmental stage of the individual.
How often do sessions occur?
We typically begin with weekly sessions to build a consistent therapeutic bond and progress steadily. Depending on individual needs, meeting twice a week is sometimes clinically indicated to provide deeper support or to help reach recovery goals more efficiently. We will determine the frequency that best fits your unique situation together.
Do you provide sessions specifically for parents?
Yes. Parent sessions are a critical part of child therapy. We meet regularly to review progress, discuss strategies for home, and ensure you feel supported through this process. Research also strongly supports parent participation for improved clinical outcomes.
